San Joaquin County's population is projected to grow by about 19 percent between 2025 and 2050, reaching 956,344 residents according to the San Joaquin Council of Governments. Currently home to more than 789,000 residents, the county's growth reflects broader trends of suburban expansion and remote work opportunities. The county's labor force grew over 11 percent between 2010 and 2023, from 312,100 to 346,800, indicating strong economic activity and household formation.

Manteca has been at the center of this growth. The San Joaquin Council of Governments reports that the region's economic growth increasingly depends on commuters and people working from home, with employment expanding from 259,300 to 325,100 between 2010 and 2023. Nearly 30 percent of the county's population is under age 20, reflecting a young demographic profile with families establishing roots and purchasing homes. New residential areas, schools, and services expand continuously to serve this growing population.

Growing communities mean growing financial obligations: mortgages for new homes, childcare and education costs, and cars and commutes. A young family moving to Manteca is typically at the stage when term life insurance matters most. Comparing quotes now, before a job loss or health change, and locking in a rate for 20 or 30 years, ensures that the family's plans remain on track regardless of what comes.
